WHO WE ARE
Magnifik Music, the brainchild of Belgian DJs and producers Ajna and Samm, is more than a recordlabel. We are a music platform but most of all a movement fueled by a passion and driven by a deep sense of togetherness. Magnifik is a creative force that is blending the best of afro-house and melodic techno into a fresh, unique and electrifying sound. With roots in tradition and eyes on the future, we fuse soulful rhythms with groovy beats, creating a unique vibe that is designed to captivate and resonate on dance floors worldwide.
Through various events, artist collaborations, and bold releases, we’re building a vibrant, inclusive community that breaks down barriers and celebrates the power of music to bring people together, spark joy, and create experiences that resonate long after the last beat drops. 2021
Magnifik’s journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic when Samm and Ajna crossed paths, became friends, and discovered their shared passion for music and DJing. Their casual b2b sets, played purely for fun and good vibes, laid the foundation for their partnership.
As they spent time in the studio, creating their first collaborative tracks and searching for a label to release their vision, they quickly realized that label shopping wasn’t easy in an industry overflowing with talented artists and great music. This challenge sparked the idea that eventually would lead to the birth of Magnifik Music.
2022
The year Magnifik Music was introduced and became Instagram official marked a significant milestone. Inspired by their collaboration and rooted in a genuine friendship, Samm and Ajna established the label—giving them the freedom to release music independently and fully realize their artistic vision.
Beyond their own work, they wanted to offer the same opportunity to others in the scene, helping artists avoid the struggles of label shopping. From the very beginning, their vision was clear: to do their own thing, create and release their own sound, and provide a platform for like-minded artists to do the same.
2023
The label’s first release dropped in early 2023, quickly followed by the release and remix of Does It Matter. This track became a turning point for Magnifik Music, especially remarkable given how early it came in the label’s journey. Gaining significant attention and support from major artists like Keinemusik, it propelled the label into the scene in a way no one saw coming.
Magnifik Music evolved into a full-fledged music platform. It began hosting its first hometown events, starting with smaller gatherings and quickly progressing to stage hostings at major festivals, closing the year with large-scale local events at prominent venues, marking another major milestone.
2024
Building on the momentum of 2023, this year gave Magnifik Music deeper roots and stronger grounding within the scene—much like a teenager stepping into adulthood. This growth led to more releases on the label, both from Samm and Ajna as well as other talented artists, alongside expanded festival stage hostings, bigger local venues, our first outdoor production, and our debut ADE gig.
Samm and Ajna’s music received support from, without dropping names, world-renowned, top-tier artists. Their sets took them to larger, high-profile events, elevating both their solo and B2B careers while simultaneously growing Magnifik Music as a label and music platform.
Throughout 2024, we discovered so much fresh talent that we expanded our platform even further, introducing our newest creation: SMILE. We launched its first 10+ track album and hosted a dedicated SMILE event, staying true to our original vision—offering a stage for like-minded artists. Things got really real by the end of the year when we hired our first employee and officially grounded ourselves in our first office—the Magnifik Music HQ.
2025 & beyond
Starting the year the way we ended the last, we’ve launched our website, including a webshop, and released the Does It Matter vinyl, our very first vinyl release. These two achievements have marked important steps on our bucket list, setting 2025 up to be another landmark year, further solidifying Magnifik Music's recognition in the scene, both as a label and a music platform.
We’re expanding SMILE with more events and another album, while taking Magnifik Music to new heights with major national indoor and outdoor events, a stage hosting at Tomorrowland, and our first-ever international club shows at soon-to-be-revealed locations. With even bigger bangers and new talent dropping on the label, 2025 will be another year of massive growth—one that will quite literally take us places.
